Oh my ghod those are SUCH COOL BOOTS!

I'm looking for a pair or two this winter to replace my old faithful black pair that I got from a Sears outlet-type store for $20 or less, I forget exactly. They turned out to be great for walking, and a hard act to follow. I need boots to wear with skirts and I need to wear skirts sometimes because I can't find dressy pants (that fit) to save my life.

And suddenly I have to show up at Events. We just found out we have an invitation to some reception the day after tomorrow involving ~Stanleeeeeee Gatti~. Eek. Skinny glampeople.

I wish I had those boots to wear.

Ron, Chadwicks of Boston used to offer this kind of boot as a staple, but they messed with the heels and soles so they're not as sharp and dressy anymore. The good news is that although Cohoes is strictly a Northeast chain, CL by Laundry is not exclusive to Cohoes.

Look, I found the exact same boots online even cheaper at Goody's Family Clothing. That little foldover thing can totally be unfolded, as you can see in the picture I posted. The only bummer is that they only go to size 8.5 at this location, so if you wear a size larger, you'll have to keep looking.

Ha! I've been looking everywhere for three years for something like this, and now suddenly this specific one IS everywhere! No, the key is not just knowing what you're looking for, but also precisely what to call it. 'Cause it's really not everywhere. (sigh)
