Once again I have busied myself with so many things today that I find myself without the time or mental energy to write something, so instead I am posting this photo which I took on October 23. I was at Hutchins Farm, which was still open, but whose cutting garden was showing the effects of some exposure to a little frost here and there.
I know there's a point to be made looking at this dying flower gracefully sustaining a late bee, but I will leave it to more eloquent pens. A lot of days lately, I find that all I've got is a pointing finger and one word:
Look.
You can click on the image if you want to look more closely.
The more we get into winter the more I appreciate the efforts of the flowers, even if they are fading and wilting around the edges. I'm just glad they aren't under snow!
