No, really, this time I mean it. As some of you may recall, I still have an outstanding painting debt, and while this weather holds, I am obliged to do everything in my power to pay it off.

The last time I tried to do this was a week ago today. I got on my trike and rode as far as a farm on Monument Street where they only seem to raise white horses, but the sky was dark with clouds and soon, courtesy of my true love, I would have a National Living Treasure of China, plus his wife, daughter, and officially recognized American disciple, sitting in my living room, drinking jasmine tea and eating fresh scones I'd have just whipped up for them, and not speaking English -- a problem for me because I only know two words/phrases in Chinese, "ni hao" and "shieh shieh" ("hello" and "thank you," respectively; European spelling uncertain). So I ran out of time.
Today will be better. Today I will just take a quick detour to the post office, where I will mail my first ever international sale to a lovely, patient woman in Australia who is being very kind and understanding about me not knowing what I'm doing after all where international shipping is concerned, and then I will be off with my art supplies down the leaf-filled, potholed roads of this charming town to see what I can see -- and paint.
You will hear all about it.
congrats on your first international sale (does this mean you haven't sold to canada?)....err that's it, the only other thing I know is that painting takes a lot of time.

No, I have not yet sold to Canada. I know that day is coming, though. :) At least, I hope so.
