Sara...

  • ...is a happy, ordinary, middle-aged, suburban woman who paints odd pictures, gardens in a straw hat, lives with the love of her life, is owned by one cat and the ghosts of several others, and walks a little funny 'cause she has a fake leg. She started this website because there's more to life than what we lose, and we need to let each other know what's possible, even if it's only a happy, ordinary life.

Clearly a full day for everyone.

Never gratuitous when there's fur involved.

What a sweetie!

See, not only am I going to blog every day, but I am going to try and comment on all the Nablopomo friends blogs each day (I have to admit the Nablopomo word makes me think that people think I am into some really strange sex club - it just has "dirty word" all over it).

Love the virtual cat. We would like a real cat but barred by apartment rules; however Linda is taking care of a cat for someone while away. Cat is displeased owners are away and has: repeated vomited in various places for attention; taken a dump right in front of the door (for revenge?), and other of the "I am unhappy" tricks, like waiting for you to clean out the litter box then literally pushing by your leg to go as you still have one leg in the box.

Sara

Yes, it is important not to get NaBloPoMo mixed up with NaBloJoMo.

Mrs. Kennedy, founder of NaBloPoMo, has apparently encountered similar problems with the name of her blog, "Fussy," so much so that she made a T-shirt about it.

Jess

I love a gratuitous cat post. Yay! :)

Sara

Aw, Jess, I would never have guessed!*

Of course, as esteemed correspondent Sognatrice notes above, my use of the word "gratuitous" may be highly questionable.

*Note: I did not know of the existence of the post of yours that I've linked to here before writing this reply to your comment, so similarity in the names of my post and that one are pure coincidence, but also:

(a) I knew I would find something like it if I went to your blog, and

(b) it didn't take me very long to find it, like, 0.002 seconds.

hee hee

Jess

Soon the entire internet will be one giant cat post. Just wait! Then: world peace. :D

Lay down your arms, pick up a kitten

Sara

Of course, now that I've had a nap, I realize that you linked to your post in your own comment, which makes me look a little crazy. Heh. What's new?

Yes, there are much better things in this world to hold onto than war-making materials.
